His Career as a Mechanical Engineer started in fabrication companies that specialized in hydropower generation, mill/mining, and forestry machinery, which gave him an extensive understanding of machine design, fabrication, and industrial installation.

Douglas-36978a7 (1)

Douglas Grimmer MET

Doug has been working in the steel fabrication/machining industry since early 2015. Originally taking a drafting job after graduation from Camosun’s Mechanical Engineering Technology program. That job evolved into drafting, design, project management, purchasing, shipping, quoting, and some sales work. Thankfully, that diversity of tasks allowed him the opportunity to work with welders, machinists, millwrights, shippers, and installation crews over the years to help make designs and drawings clearer and more concise. In his spare time, you’ll find him at a local coffee shop, brewery, walking his dog, or riding (also, fixing) his motorcycle.
